Meet the Creative Team- Sammy Posted on 25 Feb 02:00

We have got some really amazing ladies on our Happy Place Creative Team. They help us give you magical content each month and we wanted to give you the chance to get to know them! We asked each of them a few artsy questions so we can dig a little deeper into how they became part of the Art Journaling the Magic Crew!

Today let’s meet: Sammy

What is your first (or favorite) childhood memory of Disney?

I've been going to Disney since I was in the womb so everything is a little muddled together from my childhood. I do remember that when I was about 8 or 9 (around there) we had a family reunion at Disney and we went to Ariel's grotto and had a character meal. We got to meet all the princesses and it made my little girl heart soar.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Probably a really glittery lime green. I love bright crazy colors and all things sparkly.

What Disney character do you relate the most to and why?

Moana. I always feel this inner urge to do something bigger than I am doing now.

Why do you love Art Journaling the Magic?

I love Art Journaling the Magic because it is my childhood in a nutshell! I grew up with art and with Disney and so to combine those two is magical.

How did you become a part of the Art Journaling the Magic family?

I was born into it- literally! Tangie is my mom (and the best mom ever) and so naturally I am a part of the family business. But in all seriousness, AJTM is something I am so passionate about. When Tangie first thought of it, I was a teenager and I knew that it was going to become something great. I've always believed in my Mom and what she does and I always want to be a part of it.

What is your favorite thing to draw?

People! I love drawing people in costumes, as characters and more!

If you got to meet Walt Disney, what would you ask him?

I would ask him what his favorite movie that the company has put out since he died.
